Problem :
McAfee Agent not reporting of Virus scan console to ePo console 5.3.X.
Solution Work Environment :
McAfee Agent (MA) 5.x, 4.x
McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator (ePO) 5.x, 4.x
McAfee VirusScan Enterprise (VSE) 8.x
Solution :
Edit the following registry key on the client computer. Solution to be application on Windows OS client machine.
- Click Start, Run, type Regedit, and click OK.
- Navigate to the following location:For 64-bit installations:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Network Associates\ePolicy Orchestrator\Application Plugins\VIRUSCAN8xxx]For 32-bit installations:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Network Associates\ePolicy Orchestrator\Application Plugins\Viruscan8xxx] - Right-click the DWORD value Plugin Flag.
- Select Modify from the menu.
- Type 0 in the Value data box, and click OK.
- Close the registry editor.
- Send an agent wake-up call to the client computer from the ePO console.
