The selected user ID Account is locked out due to too many failed login tries – IBM TS 3200 Tape Library


We are getting message from IBM tape library in web login “ The selected user ID Account is locked out due to too many failed login tries “. We need to reset all user login password of IBM TS 3200 tape library.  

Password not taking while login on HTTP for IBM tape library to give error – Session Expired. Please restart browser 

With respect to the IBM TS3200 tape library, when admin user account is “Locked” out due to too Manu failed login, how do you unlock the account? (Admin).

“The selected user ID Account is locked out due to too many failed login tries “.


Please find the procedure to reset the library password (TS 3200 TAPE LIBRARY).
Kindly follow the below given procedure

Note: Don’t reset the password while backup is going on – If you want to reset library password while backup is running you can do it but not recommended.

Kindly do this activity from library front panel.

Configure——>Save/Restore—–>RestorePasswords.

Once you restore passwords your library will not restart during resetting.

Once your password reset. Kindly login with user “Admin” and Password“secure”.
